Vashti has had over 80 adult short stories published and won five major awards. She has talked about her books and writing to Royal Australian Historical Society, State Library NSW, Sydney Mechanics School of Arts, the Women’s Club, Legacy, U3A, Probus, Rotary and View clubs.
She has twice been President of the Society of Women Writers Inc, Deputy Chair of the NSW Writers’ Centre and President of the Military History Society of NSW Inc.
As well as books on this website, Vashti has been a regular contributor to School Magazine (NSW Department of School Education) and had her books on different state Premiers’ Reading Challenge Lists, and has talked to many schools including in PNG.
